LTEC 6511 – Digital technology comfort level survey

Unofficial research that surveyed how comfortable adults are using web and multimedia technology.  This is valuable since technology frustration can increase cognitive load and minimize learning.  Since adults have not always grown up with digital learning this survey can aid in determining appropriate technology.  Some indication that education level correlated with higher comfort of learning with technology.

LTEC 6510 – Stored color knowledge in game-based learning environments

Unofficial research that compared game performance in the use of natural color vs unnatural color.  Literature suggested disruptive use of color can impede processing of information.  The study requires a larger sample, however, shows merit in the value of this study.  This research is valuable in showing how design elements like color can influence how information is processed in game-based learning.
